You CANNOT revert from the beta to stable until a new major stable release, which only happens once a blue moon.

 

Backup your server data for if/when you decide to go back to stable or you will have to start from scratch.

I have been using the beta version, and it has been giving me high-quality trailers, but I think the default quality is too high. There is a lot of freezing. Is there a way to set the trailer default to 1080p?

The couple trailers I just played and when checking them on YouTube would appear their max quality is 1080p.  But yes it would be nice to know what quality these trailers are playing as all I see is Direct Play. @Luke

They are playing direct from client to youtube, so it's not running through your server.

How did you get to that trailer that you played?

Need a way to see the quality being played as all we see is Direct Play.  Not sure why the Title line is different unless it is different per client?

Guys (Emby) you should be embarrassed, this is a 2+ year issue and the conversation and questions are the same each time someone brings it up but there's never a fix.

Hi.  That is incorrect.  The overall issue has been solved quite a while ago.  That's why we're trying to get to the bottom of why this user is seeing it now.

Actually you are incorrect, if a user is still having the problem then it was never actually solved, you just thought you had solved it.  Kind of like scrolling fast that jumps back to the beginning was claimed by you to have been fixed yet it still happens YEARS later.

At the same time Emby does not control the embedded metadata Trailer url for any media.  As it comes from TMDB per whatever user applied it.  But at the same time when a URL is select who controls the quality Emby or Youtube?  @Luke

But @Kelian_issue has nothing to do with the Trailers Plugin which was updated to YouTube Trailers.

Sorry, but whatever issue is being encountered by @Kelian_is different from the one that was referenced before.  My trailer for the same movie played from the same place is HD just as Happy's is.  That's why we are trying to get to the bottom of whatever this issue is.  Also, as Happy, points out, there is no way we can control the exact quality of every trailer out there.  Plus, its quite possible that the poor quality being seen by this user is nothing more than YT dialing back the quality due to network conditions.
