Hard to describe.

Look at Channels DVR for discovering new content. “On Later”.

That sums it up.

Can you please be more specific about what you'd like to see?

Have you tried the Suggestions tab in our Live TV?

It lists upcoming Shows, Movies, Sports, Kids and News.

Did you try scrolling down to explore the sections underneath?

Yes, but this doesn’t have sections that indicate things such as my examples above. New shows this week, new seasons…

No easy way to see a category of these sections.

The shows are sorted by upcoming air date though, so doesn't that in effect achieve something similar?

What categories would you like to see?

Separate categories that indicate new seasons, and new shows

So from the app on the phone, or the web interface on the computer, I can build out filters to help see what's new, by filtering it out with "New" and "Ratings".

However, can we get more functionality within the Android TV app to filter within Live TV / Programs or build two new categories that do the filters for us?

This would greatly improve the experience for the end user in terms of discovering new content, new seasons, etc.

Hi.  Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares?

Thanks.

Yes it has those features since it looks like this is meant for a phone not a tv.

i noticed the following issues.

- scrolling the live tv guide it goes all over the place from far right to left.

- channel up/down is backwards on the live tv guide

- channel buttons don’t work anymore?

So is the Emby Android TV being phased out?

We are working on unifying them. Thanks.

Trying to get a straight answer here.

Will the speed of the new app be on par with the Android TV version?

As of now it’s just way to slow to transition between menus. It’s driving me mad. To slow on my GTV and TiVo stream 4K.

Hi, we are working on improving it. Thanks.

Still seems to be lagging in terms of speed and appears buggy in Live TV still.

Close Captions on live tv do not work correctly which I have noted multiple times in other threads.

Frustrating..

The regular android app is not good compared to the android tv version. Its behaviour is also weird because it doesn’t feel like an app meant to be used with a remote.

the epg also doesn’t utilize the space. The channel names take up far too much space compared to the  rest

Hi there, why exactly do you feel like it wasn't meant to be used with a remote?

Try using it with the nvidia shield.. I want to be greeted with the user selection on app startup, and when I press the back key to exit the app I want the same notification that asks me if I want to exit the app.. now it opens an ugly menu and when I keep pressing the back button it close/hides the app. But if o start it again it opens up at the same place i left it instead of starting up fresh.
