TheShanMan 40 Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 My screen isn't HDR capable but occasionally I accidentally end up with a Dolby Vision or HDR video file. Is it technically possible for such files to be transcoded (rather than direct played) to non-HDR so such videos will play properly? I don't see any sort of option for that in Theater's settings. And if that is or becomes possible, would it also be possible for the UI to flag such videos in a pretty obvious way while browsing? And maybe even have a transcoding indicator on the playback info overlay? Both of those options would help me clue in to the mistake I've made.
Raptor6L 29 Posted September 18, 2023 Posted September 18, 2023 I play HDR media on non HDR equipment often. In Theater, do you have your video output set to GPU-Next?
