You can get the log files using the Emby web interface. Please supply the most recent one. This will tell me the path to your server data folder, then you can delete that folder and make a fresh start. Thanks. The link is for Windows Server not Qnap
Rew452 15 Posted September 20, 2023 Author Posted September 20, 2023 Luke remember I am not able to get to Server info via the Emby Web interface

Rew452 15 Posted September 20, 2023 Author Posted September 20, 2023 What's strange is the ghost image of the original Emby Web page. I would expect after removing the app and deleting the Emby server directory and reinstalling Emby app this would be totally blank or at least having to go through setup.
Luke 42077 Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Can you go back to the server data folder that you deleted. Has it been recreated again? If it's there, what's underneath it?
Rew452 15 Posted September 20, 2023 Author Posted September 20, 2023 Yes, when app is removed Emby Server directory is gone and when I install this is what the directory shows
Rew452 15 Posted September 20, 2023 Author Posted September 20, 2023 I have been deleting the Emby Server directory as a whole after removing Emby app; should I instead delete each file and then the directory?
Luke 42077 Posted September 20, 2023 Posted September 20, 2023 Can you shutdown the server, then delete the embyserver folder, then start the server again. What do you see at that point?
Solution Rew452 15 Posted September 20, 2023 Author Solution Posted September 20, 2023 Hi Luke, This is what I did: 1. Removed Emby 2. Rebooted Qnap 3. Checked that Emby Server directory was deleted 4. Installed Emby Opened Emby and all worked. Went through library setup and it all seems to be working. Now I am in wait as the library populates the movie details. This will probable take quite awhile as my library is large. Thanks for your help Rew 1
