Resume from external player

Has anyone had any luck finding an external player that will pass resume information back to Emby? I have Emby installed on a TCL Q7 TV  The default TCL media player works like a dream but no resume functionality.

Just the usual jumpy jittery playback of certain videos. The intent of the post was to see if anyone has found an external player that can pass resume information back to Emby on a Smart TV. It would appear that VLC, MX Player have the same issues on a TCL TV. The TCL media player works great though. I don't think this is really an Emby issue, but rather a playback standard with a lot of smart TV sets. Thank you for your reply on this. I do appreciate all the great work you all do with Emby. Thanks for that!

Hi.  That isn't usual.  Do you have an example?  Have you upgraded to the latest release of the app?

Well, The one thing I did not try to fix the issue I was having with the built-in player was "Playback Correction" and it looks and sounds great now on my TCL Q7 75-inch. Thought I would just post where I ended up on this issue.
