Hispanico957 23 Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 I have some problem with many movie reference sport. Explain For example Race Race - Il colore della vittoria (2016) - IMDb geners are: biographical, sports drama while in my Server Emby i have only two genres: Drama and history So in my case all movie sport not report genre sport and consequently not exist "Sport" genre in my library. Is there an alternative that can group and/or classify movisalso as sports films, because doing it manually takes forever Thank Hispa

That said, genres are exclusively dependent of meta-providers used and their order. In your case, there is no perfectly happy solution as TMDB (most common top-preferred movie provider) doesn't even recognize "Sport" as a genre: Genres - Movie Bible — The Movie Database (TMDB) (themoviedb.org) and you likely have it as top-preferred provider as well, as per: 13 minutes ago, Hispanico957 said: while in my Server Emby i have only two genres: Drama and history which is likely where they came from: Race (2016) — The Movie Database (TMDB) (themoviedb.org) TVDB does have "Sport" as a genre: Genres - TheTVDB.com though for that particular movie it doesn't list it as a genre either. Race - TheTVDB.com Only provider that has it listed for "Race" is OMDB: Quote {"Title":"Race","Year":"2016","Rated":"PG-13","Released":"19 Feb 2016","Runtime":"134 min","Genre":"Biography, Drama, Sport","Director":"Stephen Hopkins","Writer":"Joe Shrapnel, Anna Waterhouse","Actors":"Stephan James, Jason Sudeikis, Eli Goree","Plot":"Jesse Owens' quest to become the greatest track and field athlete in history thrusts him onto the world stage of the 1936 Olympics, where he faces off against Adolf Hitler's vision of Aryan supremacy.","Language":"English, German","Country":"Canada, Germany, France","Awards":"6 wins & 9 nominations","Poster":"https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BMTQ3MDM1MDU2NF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMzM3OTIzNzE@._V1_SX300.jpg","Ratings":[{"Source":"Internet Movie Database","Value":"7.1/10"},{"Source":"Rotten Tomatoes","Value":"63%"},{"Source":"Metacritic","Value":"56/100"}],"Metascore":"56","imdbRating":"7.1","imdbVotes":"39,569","imdbID":"tt3499096","Type":"movie","DVD":"04 Oct 2016","BoxOffice":"$19,206,207","Production":"N/A","Website":"N/A","Response":"True"} but you generally don't want OMDB as your top-preferred provider as that'll likley create more issues and/or missing/incomplete metadata then solve this particular "Sports" genre issue. So, besides lot of manual workarounds (deleting parts of metadata, changing library settings multiple times, locking items etc.), don't see it being achievable, it's much easier to just add "Sports" as genre manually to those few odd items you deem valid. 1
