FireTVStick First Gen non 4k with Amzon Store App 2.093a  : Transcoding due to lack of 10 bit Support

FireTVStick Second Gen non 4k with Amzon Store App 2.093a  : Transcoding after 30-60s Direct Play

FireTVStick Third Gen non 4k with Amzon Store App 2.093a  : Transcoding after 30-60s Direct Play

Roku 4K Express :  Direct Play all the Way

 

FireTVStick Second Gen non 4k with with sideloaded 3.3.38 arm7  : Direct Play no Problems

FireTVStick Third Gen non 4k with with sideloaded 3.3.38 arm7  : Direct Play no Problems

Tomorrow i can check a waipu stick wit 2.0.93g on it and a Xiaomi 4k TV Stick will arrive this Week.

But as from my Point something is wrong with the Amazon Build. 8 Bit Hevc no Problem, and before you ask, 10 bit is enabled on the Sticks in System Settings

With the Sideloaded App works all fine, but i can't do it for my whole Family because of his Ages and Distance to try Sideloading.

And the Standard App doesn't provide Extra Themes and Suggestions Like Halloween & Christmas.

I Figured out the Problem is the Exoplayer in 2.0.93 amazon or google Version, with external player like mx or vlc all runs fine.

BTW. Your build from Exoplayer in 2.0.93+ is far behind the Actual Revision, and for Note Exoplayer is Deprecated and moved on to AndroidX Media3

Also to Test i Installed Plex that also uses Exoplayer, and all runs Fine with the Files in Direct Play, so please check your Player indide 2.0.93

I tried also 2.0.95 beta, same Problem.

Actually don't be fooled by the version number because we frequently cherry pick newer things that we know will benefit the app until we're actually ready to take all of it.

I understand, but don't take this as an attack, I just wanted to inform you.
And it looks like only the FireOs is affected, 2.093g runs fine on all other devices
