Long Loading Time Before Playing Videos Only in the Android TV app

Hi Team,

When I play every video on one of my servers using the emby Android tv app it takes 30 seconds or more before the video actually plays. But when I play the same file from the same server on my android phone it takes only 2 seconds. I am using the latest .93 version apk. I am wondering what could be the reason?

Most likely the phone is more powerful, and can play without transcoding something which the TV needs to have transcoded to a format it can handle.

The server logs would tell us; or you can just look at the server dashboard while playing to see what is being done, or bring up the "stats for nerds" on the device being used to play, which will show similar information.
