aldriglikvid 4 Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 Hi Everyone, Previously, I had several different "Smart-Tv's" but I always had the input on my Chromecast Ultra and never paid much attention to the OS/Smart-Tv whatsoever. Now, I've just acquired a new mid-range TV (TCL) that runs Google TV as its OS. From my Emby Windows-server I tried to cast and it found this new TV and started casting. However, the issue is that whichever content I cast I get both the Video and Audio as transcoding. I then plugged in my Chromecast Ultra dongle and changed the TVs input to the dongle. Cast again, and voila - direct play. Would you guys have any idea what settings I should look for to solve this? Or is "built in Chromecast" inherently not as good as a standalone dongle? https://www.tcl.com/th/store/tv/t6g?screen-size=65

Luke 42078 Posted September 11, 2023 Posted September 11, 2023 Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
