Android TV version still developed?

A long time and very satisfied Emby user here. Thank you for a great solution!

I mainly use Emby on my NVIDIA Shield devices (i.e. Android TV) and have noticed that there hasn't been that many updates recently. I have also noticed that quite a long time already, the users have been asked to side load the Android version of Emby. So, is the Android TV version still developed or is the roadmap/plan to move all Android TV users to utilize the Android version of Emby? I would prefer a clean solution where I wouldn't need to side load anything but still get new features.
