Desynchronisation between server and the account of my son on Androïd

Hello 😁

I have a nice setup with movies and music on Emby première. I'm really happy 🤩

I have a family so i created 4 accounts.

Today i add content in my movies libraries, i make scan, refresh firefox... perfect on the web interface and on my iphone app with my dad account, all the content is here !

The problem is for my son, the content he see have 1 week back (few days) but i can't see the new files.

The strange thing is, the movies he see are in the state of 1 week back with all the files. But all the new files are hiddens.

I edit the fules of his profil, now he have all right (but not delete) and he doesn't' see the new content.

i click on the movie folder and refresh files, nothing appears.🥲

i make a full scan, nothing appears.🥲

I don't have see cache options on the android app... or force db refresh i don't know...

i'm very confuse.

i think i would delete the account of my son and recreate it, but it's anormal.

Mmmm, i don't checked if app's need update, good idea ! 👍

His app didn't have an update apparently so, .... what can i do to refresh the db on the android smartphone ?

I was looking at my son's phone and there is a problem with the version number I gave you. He installed version 3.3.29.

Do you have a solution to share with me?

I'm trying to get Emby adopted at home and this refresh db issue isn't helping me much!

This doesn't make any sense because Emby apps don't store any information about your library, so in that sense, there's nothing to refresh.

Did you have him try restarting the app? 

If that doesn't help, can you please show screenshot examples to demonstrate the problem? Thanks.

What do you see if you use your profile to log in from your son's phone?

Of course we restarted the application... many times.
I don't see what a screenshot will add to my point.
I suggested a database refresh problem but it could also be related to cache... i'm not in your dev team.
It's really strange. There are missing movies on his phone and I'm not making this up.

I just bought a new Android smartphone and so far I have no complaints with your mobile application.

But on my son's phone I don't understand why he can't see everything. There must be a rational reason, it's computer science!

Good suggestion.

I tried to log into his app and saw the entire content with my account.

I'm going to delete his account and create a new one.
