Tv episode naming clarification

I have some shows in season 4 that have episode 10 and 15, as part of the same file.

I want to confirm if this would work

S01E10E15

Nope. It'll be treated as episodes 10 through 15.

I believe that naming would mean that the file include episodes 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 15.

I do not think there is a way to tell Emby that a file has only episodes 10 and 15 unless all in between episodes are included but there may be. However even if Emby could do that I do not think there is a way, in your case, for Emby to detect where episode 10 ends and episode 15 begins.

There are many tools that allow splitting videos. One of those (like Make MKV maybe) should be ably to, fairly easily, split the file into two.

I knew the Grim Reaper was fast but not this fast. I was actually browsing this forum when the OP was made and I posted pretty quickly but what do I find? That @GrimReaperbeat me to the post.

Must relearn to type faster.

Well Boo.... File bot named it like that, saw a naming format that (sort of) matched in the naming guide. Separating won't be difficult,  just time consuming

Usually FileBot is quite good at correct file naming but, just because the file deserves that name does not mean that it is a format Emby can handle.

Like I said Emby has no way to tell where in the file episode 10 ends and episode 15 starts.

The few times I have run int similar naming I used FreeMake to split the file apart and it only took me about 3-4 minutes of my time to get it done. Of course my computer took quite a bit longer.
THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT OF FREEMAKE FOR THIS PURPOSE. IT IS JUST WHAT I USED. IT WORKS BUT IT IS ONE OF THE SLOWER CONVERTERS AROUND. So my computer was busy for quite a while.
