delete recording is missing

after upgrading to  4.7.14  in  Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS  delete  recording option is missing ,   no matter which screen i use to get to recordings.

I tried reverting my upgrade 4.7.13   it is still missing.

The delete recording option is missing whether i use  the  client on  nvidia shield tv pro,  windows notebook,   ios app

Hi, where exactly are you looking for it?

 Have you checked the permissions for the Emby user to ensure they have delete permissions on  that library?

I've looked for  the delete menu in all recording menus

home->my media->recordings->select Recording Series->   no  delete series options, or other delete even in ... menu

home->live tv->recordings>select specific recorded program->no delete option  even in ... menu

i've run  

    chown -R emby:emby    /media/servers/emby

   chmod -R 777 /media/servers/emby

 

umounted filesystem and check for errors, no errors

    systemctl stop emby-server

    umount /media/server

    fsck.ext4 -p /dev/sdb1

 

i've logged out and logged back in,   no change

i've reboot the  ubuntu server,  no change

i've tried    apt-get remove emby-server, then   install the new version again, no change

 

Emby is still recording new programs, so it has write access to file system,  

just the menu delete is missing in all the screens.

 

 

 

  

Finally checked   my only user  in   "Manage Emby Server"->Server->Users-> my account->...->edit

 somehow  the upgrade    unchecked         "Allow Media Deletion From"     -> All Libraries   and    -> Recordings

I checked "All Libraries"   and  I see the delete menu again.

sorry not respond to you sooner,  my home router malfunctioned, I have complicated vlan setup to access the emby server.

but i finally got in,  unfortunately my hdhomerun was destroyed until i can get a replacement.

 

there is a bug in emby server or iphone app occasionally  when i stream with the iphone app,  the  transcoding file  grows and fills up

my entire file system.   When this happens and I login to ubuntu server and clean up the large transcoding file via comand line,  the   

delete permission is automatically removed when I   restart the emby server.

I never touch that permission, as I only have 1 account setup in emby server.   i thought  the upgrade did this, but this time i didn't upgrade my emby server

and only the file system got full.
