hemsimmons 0 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 I have followed all of the instructions regarding subtitles -- I have the Open Subtitles API setup with my account (non-VIP), the library is set to download English subtitles (regardless of the language of the video), and the scheduled task seems to be running with no errors. I do not, however, see ANY subtitle files in any of the video folders. I wanted to find the subtitles for some of the British shows and change them to 'forced' so I could set up the playback to place forced subtitles only (for some reason I have a hard time understanding British English! ) However, I know the subtitles are somewhere because my mom watches EVERYTHING with subtitles due to poor hearing. I also can't do any forced manual subtitles because "Edit Subtitles" doesn't appear in the right-click menu. I think all of the relevant print screens are in the attached JPG.
Luke 42080 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 HI, it could be that the server tried to save them in your media folders, but was denied write access and therefore saved them internally. It could also be that your video files already had some subtitles available. We'd have to look at a specific example in order to go over in more detail. Thanks.
hemsimmons 0 Posted August 24, 2023 Author Posted August 24, 2023 What specifics do you need? I was using Brokenwood Mysteries as my example.
Luke 42080 Posted August 24, 2023 Posted August 24, 2023 @hemsimmons Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
