Live TV Stream Failing to Recover

Recommended Posts

Hello, I must first admit I am on the edge of TV transmission here. There are a lot of errors from my HDHomeRun Device. On VLC streaming I get a usable video stream, with minor glitching. For the most part I get the same on Emby. However after a few glitches the stream fails and does not recover. Just sits there frozen. What can I do to fix this issue?

I have this issue as well.  A few of our Stations will have glitches, or burps in the transmission (Especially during Football games).  Emby will lock up the playback, instead of recovering.  I then need to back out and go back into the channel.  If I use the HDHomeRun or VLC app they will show the glitch but will recover and continue playing.  Any tunables that we can try?

Thank you!

Hi there, let's look at an example. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!

About 6:37pm.  Channel 13.1.  Wheel of Fortune.

We were watching the 6pm News before it.  Just randomly locked up around 6:37pm.  I also included the small fmepg log file that was created after the lock up.

Thank you!!
