Question on user created collections

I know Emby has the ability through a plugin to pull collections from TMDB automatically.  But what about user created collections that are either not in TMDB or allowed in TMDB?  For example....a Three Stooges collection.  I'm using Tiny Media Manager so those movies are labeled under a "Three Stooges Collection" and puts a NFO file in each movie folder.  So is there a way for Emby to see this NFO and AUTOMATICALLY create a collection for these movies?  Thanks for any info you can provide!

I do not use the automatic collection thing at all as i find it is quite stupid at what is combines and what it does not.

I have something like 350 collection, some with two or three movies and others with 100s.

You can use the three dot menu to "add to collection" and that also has the ability to create new ones.
Also if you use the multi-select feature you can use the resulting three dot menu to add the selections to an existing collection or to one you create on the fly.
It works great for my use.

I kind of think the collection creation could be improved by adding a drag and drop method to the "Add to collection" functionality.

I found this under the Library setting:

By selecting this, it used my NFO files (I'm guessing) to create the collections I created using Tiny Media Manager.  Now what I have not figured out....is that its not pulling over the collection poster and fanart I selected in TMM.  Any ideas how to do that automatically??

Collections in nfo are already supported and there’s nothing you need to do to enable it.

@LukeIf I'm using Tiny Media Manager to create the NFO, pull art, etc....how do i get the collection art to flow into Emby?

@LukeSince Tiny Media Manager uses a separate folder containing all the artwork and NFO for each user created collection, how would Emby use this to pull in the artwork?  I'm not finding where Emby can be pointed to this Collection folder

It can't be. So that means for this to work for you automatically, one of the two pieces of software will have to update to what the other is doing.

I will submit a feature request then for Collections to enable user to go into the settings for Collections within Emby and point to this "Collection Folder" that TMM sets up.  If Emby is automatically pulling user created Collections on top of ones already established by TMDB, it would be best to pull over the art as well.  User can either do it manually through Emby or set everything up via TMM and pull it over automatically to Emby.
