paddy75 16 Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 Hello, it is supported that the video and most of the images have the name like: 55 Tage in Peking (1963) [tmdbid=27759].mkv But why this is not working for the backdrop? I tried to rename it to "55 Tage in Peking (1963) [tmdbid=27759]-fanart.jpg" and the result is in the webfrontend that it is displayed twice if the configuration. But in the normal movie view it is ok. Same result if there are more than one backdrop images present like *-fanart1, *-fanart2 ect. It would be nice and more consequent to have the same format for backdrops as well
Luke 42079 Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 HI, sorry, what exactly is the problem? Just the label in the image editor?
paddy75 16 Posted August 12, 2023 Author Posted August 12, 2023 hi, not a realy problem. The label is only cosmetic. But here it is displayed twice and the file is only present once. if you have more than one backdrops like *-fanart2, *-fanart3 ect. they are not visible twice, only the label is not correct (think to less space here to show all)
Luke 42079 Posted August 12, 2023 Posted August 12, 2023 Maybe you two of the same image? Try deleting the second one.
paddy75 16 Posted August 13, 2023 Author Posted August 13, 2023 on the file system is only one file is present. if i delete it one of this image in emby, this file is deleted too and by the next library scan the backdrop is not there anymore.
crusher11 1101 Posted August 13, 2023 Posted August 13, 2023 This was an issue in an old version of Emby, IIRC.
paddy75 16 Posted August 13, 2023 Author Posted August 13, 2023 that it was displayed twice or when you delete it? i have the acutal version installed
Luke 42079 Posted August 14, 2023 Posted August 14, 2023 Try removing the whole folder out of your library, then running a scan of all libraries to clean out the database, and then adding it back.

paddy75 16 Posted August 14, 2023 Author Posted August 14, 2023 removed the video from the filesystem, full scan in emby and put the video back and did a rescan again. it's still visible twice

paddy75 16 Posted August 15, 2023 Author Posted August 15, 2023 clicked on "scheduled tasks" --> "scan media library"
Luke 42079 Posted August 15, 2023 Posted August 15, 2023 Can you please show the contents of the movie folder?
Luke 42079 Posted August 16, 2023 Posted August 16, 2023 OK I'm not sure what the issue is but I would suggest using the web interface to delete the second image.
paddy75 16 Posted August 16, 2023 Author Posted August 16, 2023 thats not working, because then the file is deleted too
paddy75 16 Posted August 17, 2023 Author Posted August 17, 2023 in image editor only the second one is delete and the first one is still presen. after a library scan the first one is also deleted.
Luke 42079 Posted August 17, 2023 Posted August 17, 2023 OK and then after that what happens if you add a new image?
paddy75 16 Posted August 18, 2023 Author Posted August 18, 2023 1. delete the 2. image --> file is deleted too --> in image editor only one image is present then. 2. add a new image --> file is added as fanart1.jpg --> in image editor the old image and the new image is present. 3. after a full scan --> only fanart1.jpg is present

paddy75 16 Posted August 19, 2023 Author Posted August 19, 2023 hmmm, the question is still the same. why is it working with all the other images but not for backdrop? Want to have it all in the same naming convention. to point 2: here it should be fanart.jpg then and not fanart1.jpg because the file is deleted completely. Think it is because the other image is still in the database. at the end it is only cosmetic in the image editor, but more consequent that all images can have the same naming convention. then it would looks like this in the filesystem:
Luke 42079 Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Quote Think it is because the other image is still in the database. Correct, yes. I think crusher1 is right. This was a defect several versions of the server ago. It was corrected at the time so that it wouldn't happen again, but duplicates may have been created and could still be hanging around.
paddy75 16 Posted August 20, 2023 Author Posted August 20, 2023 duplicates from what? Emby was installed completley new in docker
