adamglenKH 4 Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 My current TS-453a is unstable and QNAP Support are unable at the moment to determine if it is a hardware or software fault. It is an old machine - 7 years so it just might be tired. I am looking at replacing with the new TS-433-4G which uses the ARM 4-core Cortex-A55 2.0GHz processor bit I do not understand about the ARM Processors. I understand that this is a 64bit processor and Wikipedia shows that the A55 is ARMv8.2-A. But I do not know if EMBY is supported on the TS-433-4G. The device will only be used for streaming video to Apple TV using the EMBY Apple TV package or VLC. Sometimes I use Windows 11 Browser. 90% of the video are less than 3mbps and the maximum of the remainder are less than 10mbs. 95% are in mkv containers with subtitles. Can anyone please advise: 1. Is their an Emby qkpg package for the TS-433-4G 2. Is the ARM 4-core Cortex-A55 2.0GHz sufficiently capable of supporting my need. Thanks
Luke 42077 Posted August 22, 2023 Posted August 22, 2023 @adamglenKHyes we do have a package for this model. Given what you've described about your videos I think this model will be fine for light transcoding duties.
