Remote access not working - (remote IP doesn't match on 'canyouseeme')

Hi,

I'm struggling to get remote access working. My internal connections are all working absolutely fine.

I've followed this guide all the way through and my Remote (WAN) access IP doesn't match on canyouseeme.org

I'm on Virgin Media using a Hub 3.0 and the port forwarding seems to have been set up correctly (which was done automatically with UPnP)

I'm running Bitdefender and ExpressVPN. I tried disabling both the Bitdefender Firewall and the VPN but still no luck.

I did the cgNAT 'tracert 8.8.8.8' test and it wasn't being blocked by my isp.

 

I'm now all out of ideas. Please could anyone point me in the right direction?

I forgot to mention, my goal is just to connect remotely using Emby Connect and watch my media.

Also my ExpressVPN is not set up on my router and is just an app on my PC.

Hi, you may want to customize the remote address in Emby Server network settings. VPN's can sometimes make this hard to detect.

Please note, there is one drawback to customizing this - if your remote ip address changes then you'll need to remember to update the value in Emby Server. If you can figure out how to configure the VPN so that the server's auto-detection produces the correct value, that would be preferable, but you can always specify it directly if you need to.

You may be able to do the ddns on your router instead of using the PC software.  Look for ddns and if it has it, look for noip and configure it with the same credentials as you used on the pc,  once working, then you can use that instead and remove it from your pc.
