adrienbnch 1 Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 Hi everyone. So, I've noticed something in the continue watching behavior and I would want to know if it's normal and if there is a way to control / correct it. Let's say I have a TV show (A small light in the screenshots) with a few episodes. If I watch some of them, from 1x01 to 1x03 then stop, I will see the 1x04 in the continue watching section on the homepage. Normal for now. The weird behavior is if I delete the episode 1x01 to 1x03, the 1x04 will then not appears anymore in the continue watching section. I tried that on 2 different server, Win11 and MacOS with the latest version of Emby Server and I have the same thing happening. If I put one of the previous watched episode (no matter if it's 1x01 or 1x03), then 1x04 come back in the continue watching section On the screenshot, you can see I have a lot of shows and the majority of them should appear in the continue watching section but since I have only unwatched episodes, they just don't. I tried with a few different show, I tried with a new library and it's always the same thing. -1st screenshot is before I delete the watched episodes -2nd screenshot is to verify the episode are still here -3rd screenshot is when I've deleted them -4th is when I put them back Is there a way to change that ? Edit : same issue happening with the next up (legacy) option for the homepage btw.
pwhodges 2012 Posted August 9, 2023 Posted August 9, 2023 I've noticed this before (when deleting watched live recordings I don't want to keep). As far as I can tell, the next up in a show is the first one after the last one watched. If you delete all the previously watched episodes in the show, Emby no longer knows that you were watching it! Luke 42080 Posted August 10, 2023 Posted August 10, 2023 HI, yes the issue is that it's calculated based on the last one you watched, and once that's gone, then it looks like an unwatched series. It's something we need to look at improving. 1
adrienbnch 1 Posted August 10, 2023 Author Posted August 10, 2023 Ok thank both of you for the answer. Keep up the very good work, love Emby 1
