Why does scrolling keep jumping back to the beginning??

'X' is always the same though, and will only ever make it 2-clicks to almost 'Y'  -- without fail.

I'm wondering if it related to the number of items perhaps - I have ~1800 Movies and ~800 Shows   But I can select 'B' and scroll (in items) all the way to Z without issues - so unless you have more than 1800 items in the 3 letter groups - then I doubt it's that.. Odd.

Yes I was just about to come back and report on that.
So after a little more testing, I limited this test user to a smaller portion of that same library, which gives roughly half the amount of items in the total view ~2500 items

Magically the issue disappears. So as @ebrsuspected previously, it does have something to do with larger lists.

Same here, once I installed  AndroidTV Client v2.0.90 all the issues described in this thread went away for me and I tested it over and over by switching to a different letter and scrolling endlessly until I was three letters later and I was never able to do this before without it jumping back to the beginning.  It also never jumped to "Z" even once....so it appears as this issue is fixed.

I can no longer reproduce this issue and the list I was checking was a directory with 4300+ movies in it.

Can you reproduce this just until that unwanted focus change and then immediately back out and send the log from the app?

Thanks.  It looks like you are pressing the letter button again after the system retrieves more items to fill in the cache.  I know you actually aren't but the program is responding as if you had.

Try this - do a letter jump and then scroll down a few items.  Then move back over to the letter list and move to a different character - any character - BUT DON'T CLICK IT.  Just move back to the list and now continue scrolling down until it does the unwanted jump.  Which start letter did you end up on?  The one you selected at first or the one where the cursor was when you moved on the list later?

Okay tried that scenario twice. First started at E ... scrolled a few rows, then went and hovered over R and went back to scrolling the list -- the jump brought me back to the top of my original letter of E

Tried it again starting with Q scrolled a few, hovered over D (didn't click) kept scrolling till it jumped me back to top of Q
