Ewertonab 4 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 I have an Emby server, and I use it on a cloud storage called Dropbox. It works really well, but the scanning of all libraries takes quite a long time, even though I already have the .NFO files and their images in the folders. Recently, the Emby server suddenly forgot about the libraries, and I was forced to initiate a full rescan, which took up a lot of my time. Is there any tip to optimize this scanning process? Perhaps creating a backup of the libraries to avoid the need for a fresh scan, given that the file paths haven't changed. Thanks
Luke 42077 Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Hi, please attach the Emby server log from when you thought it was slow. How to Report a Problem Thanks.
Ewertonab 4 Posted August 5, 2023 Author Posted August 5, 2023 my slowness is due to the size of my library, so I think it's normal for it to take a long time to scan completely. But my problem was that on 04/08/2023 - when it was around 04 AM there was no active library, and the server was scanning everything again. embyserver-63826778012.txt
Luke 42077 Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 @Ewertonabwhy exactly do you think the server was scanning everything again?
