y29shi 8 Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Hi, I have dozens of shows in my emby server and they are all normal except for one -- if I change the images for some of their seasons, they keep the image. However, I have Daredevil from Netflix on my server as well, and it is very strange that each time I change the images for all 3 seasons to be like this: at the first few hours after I change them, it was ok. but after a few hours, they always automatically change back to be identical to the shows image: This has happened multiple times already. Sometimes I change them in the morning, and then when I checked them in the afternoon, they are back to be this one. Sometimes I change them before I went to bed but they would be back in the next morning. Does anyone have seen this kind of issue? How can I fix the image for them? Thanks!
Luke 42078 Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 HI, what images do you have in your daredevil series folder?

Darius 14 Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 (edited) Maybe you can try to lock it to prevent future changes in the 'edit metadata' part of the context menu, it should not happen after that. Â That's what I do for these animes that have unofficial kai versions like One Piece and Naruto. Like that it avoids messing up the way the episodes, artwork and seasons are set up. Â Could just be that it gets replaced when you refresh the metadata especially if you had the option 'replace all images' ticked on when doing it. Edited August 4, 2023 by Darius

I doute that this issue is the same as when I do manual scans. As you can see my post above, when I do manual scan for this single show, the seasons' images would indeed change, but they are not all the same and only the 3rd season would be identical to the show's image, the first two seasons are not. But this issue that I am talking about in this thread is that all of the 3 seasons' images become identical to the show's image. So I guess this behavior may not be logged when I do manual scan. Which file should I upload?

That should stay persistent from my experience.

I was just saying that this issue may not be related to metadata updates, since I tried manually updating the metadata and the result was not the same as the issue I saw...

Neminem 1519 Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 Do you have any about image in you season.nfo ?Â

I also took a look in the tvshow.nfo and can't find "image" as well. 1
Neminem 1519 Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 Can you try and move your season nfo out of the folder to an temp dir. I see tvdbid = 651300 in your nfo. And I think you are looking for Marvel's Daredevil - TheTVDB.com tvdbid = 281662 Â

But if the tvdbid is wrong, then shouldn't they not be able to match this image? I see that they still found the correct image for the show, it's just not the one I prefre.

This time it didn't generate any nfo files at all. I've changed the season images again and I'll have to wait at least a few hours to see if they persist.

Neminem 1519 Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 ok thats strange. Guess devs will need server logs. I'm not a dev, just a friendly user. 1
