Remote clients do not pass their external IP

Good afternoon to all,

 

Server is behind a VPN with Port FWD rules configured for tcp/8090 at the VPN provider for remote connectivity.  The remote clients connect but Emby things they are local.  The IP address recorded is the router IP.  Any suggestions on how to address this issue?

The IP registered is the router IP not the endpoint WAN IP.

It sounds like you need to configure your reverse proxy or vpn so that the server can see the original client ip addresses. Have you customized any emby server network settings?

No, I have not.  VPN provider moved me to a new IP yesterday and that is when I started to notice.  I will reach out to them.
