Hi there,

seems i had some file system problems with my unraid and i lost some files.

Emby always tells me than that the Content is not available anymore.

Is there some way to filter for that, or to get a report with Empty Seasons?

That would be a great help identifying which stuff is missind.

Hi, what filter do you mean? What content are you referring to? Can you please provide a specific example? Thanks.

Sonarr docker in Unraid can help you identify what shows / seasons where you are missing episodes.

If i have a file an that gets removed Emby displays a warning that the Content is not available anymore, which is true. Or it shows you an empty Season. Is there a possiblilty to get a list of those missing files? Like i said i lost some files due to an filesystem corruption and i need to know which are missing. Emby seems to have that Info.

Interesting is there any guide for that?

Sure here is a good beginners guide https://trash-guides.info/Sonarr/

Sonarr can be used without setting it up to download illegal stuff.

Then its just a media manager, that will show you what you are missing or have, within a tv show, season and which episodes.

Althougt it works it obviously also shows many Thing which arent aired etc.

So @Luketo be a bit more precise: Is there a way to get the info from Emby about things in its DB where the file is missing? The info must bbe somewhere because else Emby couldnt tell its got removed.

If the file doesn't exist, then emby removes it from it's database automatically during a scheduled scan - so unless that is captured before removal, then it won't have the ability to know it is 'missing' again.

The only thing I can think of doing it is scraping the logs to look for 'removed' content (as it will log that it removed Item x)

Do you have the logs from when it happended ?

edit ..

Look for lines that say 'Removing item from database' - use a decent log viewer and filter to get your list of files that have been deleted.

Yea he's right. I think the message you're referring to is just a generalized one that gets displayed when something is requested that doesn't exist in the database. The server database doesn't keep a record of media  you previously had, so once it's removed, it's gone.

With a bit of Linux Bash magic i hopefully have filtered out every Movie,, Episode, Serie or Folder which got lost.

Thanks for the help.
