Moving folders to a new HDD

Hi,

 

I'm having trouble moving my movies from the main HDD of my Synology nas to a usb one attached to it.

I don't have the metadata (especially authorizations on who can access what) anymore.

I've done it manually by copying the folders from one location to another using the finder on a Mac. 

On some folders (the ones with metadata) there's a difference in size after the copy...

Are the .nfo files hidden ? How do I see them and make sure to copy them also ?
