WeWillSee 2 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 I used to be able to download from the server of a friend to which i am connected. This week to be able to watch videos it blocked until i unlocked the app. i did the one time unlock but since then i can’t download anymore. It keeps asking me for emby premier. i was from the understanding that to be able to download it is sufficient that the server has emby premiere and gives download permission to the end user. but that the end user does not need it? Or am i wrong and do i also have to take this subscription?
GrimReaper 4748 Posted July 30, 2023 Posted July 30, 2023 It is very likely that your friend's Premiere subscription has expired and no more server Premiere features (one of which is Downloading) are available. Check with server owner as there's nothing you can do from your side.

No. App unlock enables only full playback (on certain platforms); Downloading (Offline Media) is Premiere feature (and tied only to server) and you cannot enable it client-side/as user only, app unlocked or not. https://emby.media/support/articles/Premiere-Feature-Matrix.html
