Episodes are not properly assigned

Hi there

I discovered a very strange bug,
on my Futurama collection suddenly the file assignments to the correct episodes stopped working,
as the screenshots below show 2 scenarios occur

the episode is not assigned correctly, in my case episode S04E15 was assigned in the Emby server to S05E10

another scenario is a nonsensical merging of 2 episodes together, in the screenshot below S04E01 and episode S03E11 were merged like this

the episodes contain the title of the episode e.g. S04E01 - Kif Gets Knocked Up and Notch can this be a problem ?

I've never seen anything like this before

thanks for help :)

my episode sorting uses DVD order of episodes , but when I compared it with TVDB there are differences with other sortings

https://thetvdb.com/series/futurama#seasons

how would I be able to adjust it to fit correctly ?

So I chage my sorting to DVD in metadata settings and rebuild metadata and it looks correct now :)

Hence the question, as Aired order doesn't have S03E19 nor S04E15, but order of same episodes is:

Aired S04E01 for DVD S03E19 Futurama - Roswell That Ends Well - TheTVDB.com

Aired S05E10 for DVD S04E15 Futurama - The Farnsworth Parabox - TheTVDB.com

and that's what you see occurring, it's as if you order is set to Aired.

I'd reselect DVD order on series level and refresh metadata.

I find it funny, but people don't seem to look at the meta source to figure out whats going on.  Usually if I have a mismatch or problem that's the first place to go.

So with Futurama - check the files as ripped in order from the disk, look at meta, figure out which meta matches, ask Emby to use that meta or adjust file naming so it matches meta file naming.

Sorry to post again on the same subject but that needs to get added to the TV Naming guide.  Maybe I will have a read through and send some suggested changes to work that in.

It may help with a lot of this kind of question and prevent guys getting too far in the process and having to go back and make changes plus there is no mention of ordering like this question was dealing with.

I used to do a lot of process documentation but due to an anxiety disorder I am unable to work so this may be a fun project to take on and do some rewriting for Emby.

So yes, the aired/dvd/absolute option is to tell the server how you've named your files.
