A new issue that I am having is that the file names are not adjusting to the internet ones as it once did. How can I resolve this?

What names, what adjustment?  Emby does not change file names at all.

If you are talking about recognition of movies or series, you need to describe your problem in more detail.

Hello. Thanks for the reply. Typically, the file name in my fold, example: secret.invasion.s01.e01.2160p.

Is usually altered in emby to be:

Episode 1 "said name".

This may happen if a series is not recognised.

In the first instance you should ensure that your folder structure matches Emby's preferred requirements; and it is best if the file names do as well.  Details are given here:

https://emby.media/support/articles/TV-Naming.html      <--- for series
https://emby.media/support/articles/Movie-Naming.html

The closer you can get to these specifications, the more reliable Emby will become for you.

However, the other requirement is mentioned in your other thread - Emby must be able to access Internet resources such as TVDB and TMDB.  You may still have a problem with your VPN preventing this.

Hi, can you please provide a specific example? Thanks.

Thanks for the replies.

Also, is "Nfo" or "Prefer embedded titles over filenames", needs to be selected?

One is TVDB and the other one shows up with file download.

Neither option is a requirement. Please provide a new server log as requested in your other thread.

Also, I still cannot access emby remotely.

Am I missing something with Norton 360? Do I need to adjust the outbound/inbound settings? Also, with Nordvpn, I believe the split tunneling is being hit and miss. I turned off the Vpn and my emby catalog(plugin), printer,  through emby; movietb, imdb, and tvdb started working as well.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried turning off NordVPN altogether rather than just using the exceptions? The exceptions and split tunneling may not work if the vpn does not support them with dual stack sockets:

Yes, when I turn off my vpn, everything works except remote access.

OK that's a good start. Let us know what else you find.

Remote does not work still.

Any ideas on how to solve that problem?

After checking, it seems as everything that I put in is correct, but I am still unable to connect to emby externally.

We are going to need details - what have you setup / checked ?

Turn off any VPN for the moment - lets get remote access working to your normal public IP as a first step.

The VPN is turned off completely. The only thing on currently is my Norton 360.

I have changed any settings, but now internally, it will connect to anything.

It is up and running internally again.

It is still unable to connect remotely.

As per your posts above, you can confirm you have added a port forwarding rule in your router?

What is the result when you go to https://canyouseeme.org/ and check the same port you forwarded?

So this suggests the port forwarding is not working.

You're going to have to provide screen shots of your router port forward setup, local ip address of your emby server etc.

Remove any public/wan ip details before posting for your own privacy.
