Hi, for starters, if you look in the server log, all outgoing communications to all domains are failing. Everything from MovieDb to MusicBrainz to Tvdb:

2023-07-23 19:25:46.482 Error App: Error in TheTVDB
	*** Error Report ***
	Version: 4.7.13.0
	Command line: C:\Users\jason\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system\EmbyServer.dll -noautorunwebapp
	Operating system: Microsoft Windows 10.0.22621
	Framework: .NET 6.0.16
	OS/Process: x64/x64
	Runtime: C:/Users/jason/AppData/Roaming/Emby-Server/system/System.Private.CoreLib.dll
	Processor count: 16
	Data path: C:\Users\jason\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata
	Application path: C:\Users\jason\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\system
System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: The requested address is not valid in its context. (api4.thetvdb.com:443)

Typical causes of this are firewall, security software, or VPN. Can you look into those?

Fix your internet access to external sites. ;)

Can you get to the provider sites in a browser ?   (thetvdb.com in the example) This is not an emby issue - emby simply cannot cannot to those sites, thus it cannot get any metadata and is timing out trying.

You might be able to in the browser, but something is blocking the Emby server process.

Okay. I created a port forward for Emby, but now nothing can connect. My phone, tv's, nothing. Frustrating. Any advice?

How did you perform this?

Port forwards are typically setup for incoming traffic. You should be more focused on outgoing traffic from the Emby Server host, the application itself more specifically.

Please provide more information about your Emby setup, operating system, network layout, any other security appliances at play (firewall, VPN, etc)

I did it in my gateway with the internet provider. Emby is setup on my desktop. I have nordvpnn and Norton360. For as I can tell I made an exception for emby, the same way I did for Plex.

And have you tried temporarily disabling these and trying again to see if there is a difference? It's clear that Emby is being blocked from making outbound connections, I would try start by disabling the VPN and Norton360, running another scan and posting new logs.

Yeah, I did that earlier. That is what lead me to doing a port forwarding. It worked for an hour. Then all of a sudden, the phone and TVs stopped working. On the pc, it's smooth, great. One note, if I manually type in a user on the network, it comes only by that method and only that particular user(tv's and phones).

Update...Emby is back up. I see the problem is with my nordvpn. Even though I have a split tunneling exception, it is still blocking certain aspects of Emby.

A new issue that I am having is that the file names are not adjusting to the internet ones. How can I resolve this?

Sounds like something could still be getting blocked. Post a new log file so someone can take a look.
