Problem with eac 5.1 audio on newest TCL QM8 Google TV

I had the latest Emby client v4.0 working on my Hisense Google based TV with no problem. I just replaced that TV with a TCL QM8 (they just came out this year and is also Google based). The problem occurs when you play back any video that has a eac 5.1 audio track. The sound has an annoying studder/vibrato type effect. The work around I found is to set the PLAYBACK to Downmix to stereo.

p.s. Forgive me if I did not provide enough info to start. I'm struggling with medical problems. If you need more info ask and I will do what I can.
