rigo8582 16 Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 I've been trying high and low to figure this out. I thought I had it at one time then now I can't figure out if it was a fluke. But is there a way to for Emby on Android TV display the Embedded Title in an audio track? For example in the screen shot it shows English TrueHD 5.1 but the Embedded Title Shows English Dub and another will show English Dub (Japanese Score). On the android app it will only display English TrueHD 5.1. That in of itself wouldn't be a problem if there wasn't 2 audio tracks with English TrueHD 5.1. On the LG App it will display the embedded title with the title so I can easily see the difference between the tracks. But on the android tv version I only see "English TrueHD 5.1" or "English AC3 5.1" I'm running the android TV app on an nvidia shield and onn 4k player.

You can sideload standard Android app and you'll get that displayed same as on your LG. https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html

Luke 42078 Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 We are working on getting the app into the store for TV devices so that you won't have to sideload. Thanks.
ebr 16177 Posted July 10, 2023 Posted July 10, 2023 Actually, if you have the option in the server set to prefer embedded titles, then you should see that in the TV app now. You just won't see both of them like the other app does. 1

Embedded title is displayed just fine if set on the server as per ebrs comment below this is the basis of the mediainfo plugin .. you are however limited to x characters in the andoid tv app. In Library > Advanced These are embedded titles automatically generated and written to the MKV track Title using the MediaInfo Plugin - but obviously any existing MKV track title will work as well. keemy 25 Posted July 25, 2023 Posted July 25, 2023 I have that plugin installed and it shows the mediainfo for example DV8 HDR10. I was more so referring to the dolby vision flag "4k dolby vision dolby 5.1 CC" beside the movie info. Unless the plugin has that functionality built in and I missed it.

Enable "Show Extended Info" in app settings>General Display tab. 1
