Baenwort 118 Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 Hi, I have a show set to Absolute in the metadata area as the stable version I am running does not support some of the alternative tvdb APIs like "streaming order" and absolute is the closest to the internal shows chronological order. https://thetvdb.com/series/darkwing-duck#seasons I have the folder structure as: TV Shows\Darkwing Duck\Season 01 and the file names as: Darkwing Duck (1991) - E01 - Darkly Dawns the Duck, Part 1 - 480p Darkwing Duck (1991) - E02 - Darkly Dawns the Duck, Part 2 - 480p as they are from my old VHS tapes. However, this does not show up correctly in Emby after scanning files and refreshing metadata. Am I miss understanding the absolute order filename standard from the wiki?

Which wiki, as I don't remember ever seeing absolute ordering specifically mentioned in a KB article (btw, there's no special naming for Absolute ordering, only requirement is that all files are Season 1, as S01Exx). 1
Luke 42077 Posted July 8, 2023 Posted July 8, 2023 Right it still needs to be a supported naming convention. The good news is that the upcoming 4.8 release should be able to parse these names, at least that's what I'm seeing. 1
