All of a sudden, Emby stopped updating added movies to the library. I've manually re-scanned a number of times.

Attached is the server log.

Using Windows 11 on local PC.

I just added 2 movies to my library. Usually Emby automatically adds them to the Movie after a few seconds. The video files work perfectly in Kodi, Power DVD, Windows Media player, and VLC.

Is there some type of limit to the number of movies the Emby library can display?

Thank you.

HI, what files? How are your files named and organized? Is the realtime monitor enabled in your library options in Emby library setup?

mp4 movie files. They are individual files on a hard drive. Emby found 367 files prior to this.  And the Real Time Monitor is enabled.

As an experiment to confirm it isn't the media itself, I created a new folder on a different partition. I moved 3 or 4 mp4 files and moved them to this new folder.

I added the folder to the Emby Library. Even though I had both the main drive and the folder sources, Emby would only see the new folder files.

Can I rebuild my library from scratch?

Thank you.

Seems a little drastic, no? Try running a scan of all libraries, and then when it finishes, please attach the emby server log. thanks.

Hello,

I think some file got corrupted. I deleted the library db file, then I did a complete uninstall of the server.

Reinstalled and everything is working as it should.

It was pretty painless. Thank you for your time assisting me.

  • Thanks 1
