justinrh 260 Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 Any idea why this one series doesn't record typically? The file name is always "Carcass 2020-03-22".
Luke 42081 Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 Hi, what do you mean by doesn't record? How to Report a Problem
justinrh 260 Posted July 4, 2023 Author Posted July 4, 2023 Hey, Luke. I did not say it doesn't record, I said "doesn't record typically". Do you not see anything odd about the filenames that Emby creates? (Yes, I did convert to MP4.) I even have duplicate filenames, so I had to append to them after I converted. Now that all are MP4, the next one to record will probably be "Carcass 2020-03-22.ts". The 'next up' doesn't work because the filenames are messed up (I guess that's why).
Luke 42081 Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 Most likely those -1's are recoveries from recordings that errored or got interrupted for whatever reason.
justinrh 260 Posted July 4, 2023 Author Posted July 4, 2023 Might be, but doesn't jive. Each -1 is a diff episode. Then why would it always be the same filename?

justinrh 260 Posted July 5, 2023 Author Posted July 5, 2023 (edited) Luke, you aren't making sense to me. Look at the filename, look at the file date stamp. No other TV series I have is like this. Now the shows are all out of order. There is only one airing on each Sunday. Edited July 5, 2023 by justinrh
Luke 42081 Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 those are the two reasons why recordings might get named like that. I can’t tell you what happened in the past. I can only give you reasons why one thing or another might happen. For me to give a more specific answer I’d need to see the server log from when those recordings were produced.
justinrh 260 Posted July 5, 2023 Author Posted July 5, 2023 (edited) I'll try to pick up Sunday's log. Edited July 5, 2023 by justinrh 1
justinrh 260 Posted July 15, 2023 Author Posted July 15, 2023 Luke, last Sunday's episode is named the same as all the others. Tomorrow I expect to see another *-1.ts.
Luke 42081 Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 What this means is the guide data does not contain season or episode numbers so we can't save the recording using the usual s01e01 naming. All of the episodes must have an original air date value of 2020-03-22. What is the guide data source?
justinrh 260 Posted July 17, 2023 Author Posted July 17, 2023 (edited) "Emby Guide Data", channel 48.1, ZIP 35810 Edited July 17, 2023 by justinrh
Luke 42081 Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Ok @Carlo can report to them the inaccurate original air date values.
Carlo 4561 Posted July 27, 2023 Posted July 27, 2023 When I'm looking at data in general for this channel it looks fine. Is this happening for all shows or just that one?
justinrh 260 Posted July 27, 2023 Author Posted July 27, 2023 (edited) That's the only series I've seen an issue with. But it is also the only series I've recorded from this exact channel. Edited July 27, 2023 by justinrh
