CAPRICORNX10X 68 Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 I will be very happy If we have the option we can choose the size of the logo that suits us. on the movie page
arrbee99 1815 Posted July 3, 2023 Posted July 3, 2023 If I may be so bold as to enquire - what logo on what movie page ? I mean, looking at what I call the Movie page in Firefox I don't see a logo at all. Is this on a particular app, or do you mean the movie posters themselves, or...

I mean customized change in different sizes like small medium large and huge for exemple. As there is the possibility to choose a size for the poster I sent pictures of what logo I mean
arrbee99 1815 Posted July 4, 2023 Posted July 4, 2023 Oh right. Sorry. Thought you meant the size of the Emby company logo for some reason. Oops...
ebr 16184 Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Hi. The problem is that those logos vary in format (aspect ratio) extremely widely. This makes it very difficult to display them in that context in any sort of consistent way. If you made one logo large, another one would likely be too big to display there at all.

So because of the problem you mentioned. I have a solution. Make to option to edjust logos sizes individual for each logo in each movie.

That simply isn't practical. 99% of people would never go to the trouble of adjusting this. 1 minute ago, CAPRICORNX10X said: So this reinforces the fact that size adjustments should be made to the logo It actually makes it nearly impossible to apply a single size constraint to them and means that the app should try to make them fit the best as possible in as many situations as possible. Generally, we apply a constraint on the height of the image and let it fall into the space without distortion within that constraint. This works the best for the most logos but not all of them.

I disagree that it works well in most cases. I have many examples of this being the worst. Too big or too small. What I did myself to solve it, I made a template in Photoshop with a certain size that I realized was the most suitable 1800X400 and somehow it's fine. Can you tell me what is "space" size ?

You noted that you have a certain constraint of size into which the logo is thrown. So what is the size of this constraint? Or it doesn't have a certain size. Rather, it simply adjusts itself to how the size of the logo will look.

CAPRICORNX10X 68 Posted July 5, 2023 Author Posted July 5, 2023 According to my examination and I am almost sure that I am not wrong. A height above 400 cannot be accepted. So if I have a 1800x450 logo it will look exactly like if I put a 1800x400 logo size.
ebr 16184 Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 The app doesn't know how the logo will look before hand so it just applies a height constraint. What this constraint is exactly will depend on exactly what screen, resolution of the device, etc. The app does its best to be sure the logo will not display too large. Using logos in a place designed for text is a cool feature when the logos conform to the same basic presentation as text but not so much in many cases. This is why this presentation is not the default.

arrbee99 1815 Posted July 5, 2023 Posted July 5, 2023 Thats simple, you put back the option fir it to go in the space to the left (or right) of the description. You might well like it where it is now, but at least you'd be able to see it then.
