Are you still there? Checked but not functioning in the apps

Running 2.0.83g on the Nvidia shield (both models)  

Server is up to date.  Just updated it the other day.

To limit continuous play I have  the "Are you still there" checked in the server, it use to show up on the Nvidia Shield (cigar tube) but no longer does.    It never showed up on the Nvidia Shield Pro.

I don't use emby on my phone or tablet so have never checked if it shows up there.

Any idea what to do?

Hi.  Can you try sideloading our standard android app on the same device and see how that compares?

Hi.  This option is per app.  Look in the playback settings in the TV app and turn it on there.

There is not an option in the app, only a "play next episode automatically"  no option for limiting  .. that only is shown in the server

Nothing to scroll.    That option is not listed

Right now I am looking at ways to sideload with the Nvidia.

But its the 4th weekend so don't expect I will get it done quickly

OK ... I got it working ... 

I found that the EMBY APP permissions were blocked  so I changed the settings.  I tried both Shield TV  and they actually ask if I am still there, then stop if I don't respond.   Big improvement over finding a whole TV series played during the night.   

 

Oh, and yes there was a box for "Are you still there?" , and it was already checked, had been for quite some time ..    which is what started this madness. 

 

For the longest time I wrote it off to Nvidia Shield not working and playing well with others.   Having this long weekend off finally gave me time to mess around with all of this .. after 3 years of 12 hr days, 6-7 days a week.

I had all file and media permissions blocked for emby within Nividia .

Not sure how that all works but I do know emby now stops playing continuously with TV episodes.   Before it would play through a whole season, luckily I hadn't finished converting so there weren't more seasons.   LoL!!
