extras not showing when multi-disc is present

I'm running into an issue where extras don't show up with multi-disc. If I remove one of the discs and rescan the library the extras show up fine (in what appears to the be the same spot the 2nd disc was previously in.) But if I put the 2nd disc back, the extras disappear again.

Is there something I need to set in order to have both multi-disc and extras work from within the same folder? Or is it one of the other when it comes to multi-disc?

I followed the guidelines here: https://emby.media/support/articles/Movie-Naming.html

Here is an example of a two disc movie with extras (I'd prefer to designate the extras with -disc1 and -disc2 (or maybe just Disc 1, Disc 2), since that's where they actually came from, but I set them as below, since I didn't know if that was causing an issue.)

Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring
├── extras
│   ├── Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring-extras01.mkv
│   └── Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring-extras02.mkv
├── Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring-disc1.mkv
└── Lord of the Rings - Fellowship of the Ring-disc2.mkv

Note: at one point I also tried folder/names with colons (:), since the titles of these movies actually include colons, but I removed them in case they were causing issue and instead used the dashes.
