STRM source with M3U8 link playback issue when seeking

I have a video file that is streaming from my local home server. I provide this file to Emby as an m3u8 htttps link in a STRM file. The playback seeking/fastforward/rewind/etc works fine from all clients (Emby for Android, Web) However, when I cast the vide to my Chromecast and I try to jump to a timestamp in the video it stops working and playback time starts over (the video stops playing at that point too)

I also (intentionally) turned off media transcoding in the user settings. I just want emby to proxy the m3u8 link to the client without any processing.
This should not be related, but I wanted to point out my setup.

Steps to reproduce:
- Have a m3u8 link in an STRM file (here is a free video example m3u8)
- Play the video from Emby
- Cast to Chromecast device
- Attempt to jump to another place in the video

Upgrading to 4.8.0.39 beta version solved the problem.
