Emby doesn't use real time scanning

I have a synology NAS and it seems real time scanning isn't working. I keep adding more files but have to go into settings and manually scan them. Is Synology not supported for real time scanning or is something wrong?

Just looked at it. Not sure how I"d accomplish that.

I searched and found this. What is strange is that I rarely use emby. But I'll give it a shot.

I tired this, rebooted, added new media, still not showing up.

If there was/is a way to update the library from the client (I use Nvidia Shield) that would also work.

I added 3 more items then it started to pick things up. I added them one by one and not sure why it started working.
