Switching language makes the movie stutter

Sometimes when I switch the sound language from language A to B while playing a movie/episode, it will stutter. Not just the sound but also the picture.
Sometimes, using the "rewind arrow" will fix that, but not if I use the remote. It has to be on the UI. Other times I have to restart my Nvidia Shield to fix it. I don't have this problem with the same file on Windows. I also don't have this problem if I first select the language and then start the movie/series. It only happens when I change it after the movie/episode has begun. Does anybody else have that?
