Hey,

I never noticed this option before on my Windows server, but now that I'm using docker in unRaid I've noticed the Auto settings for bitrate only ever goes to 720@1.5Mbps.
Is it because this section only allows it to go up to 2Mbps? Should this not have higher values available?
I have 1.5Gbps down and 1Gbps Up, for viewing remotely with no issues, and my networking is all 10Gbps from modem > pfSense router > 10G Switch > PC's.
Auto didn't have any issues on Windows server but never noticed this section before

I have my account set to 20Mbps for max bitrate. And have to change the Video quality to 1080 60Mbps and it will auto go to the max bitrate of the movie or show I'm watching .

Could it be that this Internet quality option is why Auto defaults to 720 1.5Mbps? Maybe if it had higher options available up to 30 Mbps, would that make the Auto select a higher bitrate up tot he max allocated by the options in Network. Or maybe remove it and force the server to use what is set in Internet streaming bitrate limit.

This is all guessing and more a curiosity for me. While I liked keeping it on Auto and not having to change it on all devices/browsers or even think about it, it's not a huge deal.

There is no "Auto" bitrate settings, you're looking at Audio (Internet quality) section, and it has nothing to do with auto quality selection/logic (which is based on determined internet connection speed - but often too conservative).

Ahhh ok, I see it now. Thank you.

My guessing in why it's 720@1.5Mbps is incorrect.

Thanks.
