Can you please point me in the right direction? I am connecting to an external server, and the following error occurs when I try to download subtitles.

I tried both with web access and the iPad application (I purchased the "unlock" feature for that), and it is always the same error.

Hi.  Are you using your own server or someone else's?

Hi, I'm using an external server. I can watch movies (It didn't let me watch until I paid for unlock), however downloading subtitles still does not work.

Hi, you should probably contact the administrator who manages that server for further advice on limits. Your user account may also not have permission to download subtitles.

Which is likely the case - though that popup should really be phrased differently in such occurences and user shouldn't have that option available for selection to begin with, if so.

Edit: Then again, subtitle downloading should not have any relation to Premiere subscription, so maybe there's something else going on there.

The option wouldn't be there if that were the case.

Actually, doing this from the video player is a Premiere feature.  I've updated the feature matrix.

Then it is clear. Thanks.

@zoran_rijekaas stated above, In-playback subtitle search is a Premiere feature - server you're connecting to has already reached Premiere device limit so you are not able to download same (unlocking app only allows for full playback, not utilising other server Premiere features).

thank you. So If I upgrade my account to premiere, I would be able to download subtitles?

No, it has nothing to do with your server/Premiere subscription - owner of the server you're connecting to should opt for one of the Extended Premiere options in order to increase device limit.

Premiere is attached to the server; it is the server owner who will need to get Premiere (or expand the number of clients he's can use with Premiere features).  There is no such thing as a Premiere client option.

ok, thank you guys. So basically I'm out of options in this case, as the server owner most likely is not interested in upgrading the account.

We can close this thread then.

That's correct, as it is server owner/admin that has (and should have) overall control, not clients.

Though, tbh, that particular scenario might be something that potentially could be included in app unlock, @ebr

Edit: To note, devices drop off the list after about a week of inactivity/not using Premiere features, so there might be some occurrences where you'll be trying to download subs and succeeding, if there were slots open at the time - but that would be pure guesswork when it might occur.

Nope.  The unlock is not Premiere.

@zoran_rijekawho's server are you using?

I have no idea what you were trying to say with that statement. I know it's not, hence:

giving clients the means, as they've already been granted rights.

I mean that the feature to download subs on the fly during playback is a Premiere feature and unlocking the app does not give you access to Premiere features.

And again, that is clear, dunno why we're discussing that - what I'm trying to convey is that maybe it should/could be included?

I'm saying no it shouldn't :).
