Eddie 12 Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) I have a freshly installed emby container running inside of docker Docker version 23.0.4, build f480fb1e37 OS: Manjaro 22.1.3 Talos Kernel: x86_64 Linux 6.2.16-1-MANJARO Emby Server Version 4.7.13.0 There is a single file inside of emby/config/transcoding-temp/ called 60c9f5aad8d9426f9dd7ba4a6d564c0c.ts and it continues to grow in size for the last couple days, its at 40 gigs right now and growing Is there a normal purge that happens every day or so? softworkz 5066 Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 The word 'randomfilename' does not exist anywhere in the Emby Server code. Either it's coming from a plugin but otherwise it appears very suspicious to me. What happens when you restart Emby Server? Can you post a list of the files in your plugins folder?
Eddie 12 Posted June 9, 2023 Author Posted June 9, 2023 sorry i was just trying to make the name shorter but the actual name is 60c9f5aad8d9426f9dd7ba4a6d564c0c.ts and its 41.8 Gigs now
Carlo 4561 Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 @Eddie Could you post your embyserver log file (Log menu) for us to take a look at?
softworkz 5066 Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Neither a forum search for 'randomfilename' nor a Google search (verbatim search in combination with emby) does return a single result (besides this conversation). Is the spelling you posted precise?

Is there any ffmpeg process running? (in case you haven't restarted the server yet)

softworkz 5066 Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 Hm, none of the logs is mentioning that file name. Can you please check whether there's perhaps some ffmpeg zombie process still active?

Can't you restart right now?
Solution softworkz 5066 Posted June 9, 2023 Solution Posted June 9, 2023 Just now, softworkz said: Can't you restart right now? Not necessarily the server machine - rather: shut down emby server make sure no emby and no ffmpeg processes are running (kill all) start emby server
Eddie 12 Posted June 9, 2023 Author Posted June 9, 2023 (edited) I restarted the docker container and the cache cleared automatically, i tend to update weekly so this shouldnt be an issue ty for your help Edited June 9, 2023 by Eddie 1
