Posters won't pull for everything.

TV shows library is set for TV shows. Documentaries are set as Mixed content. Movies work fine? Everything is identified fine (for the most part, I can fill in the gaps there), but the posters won't pull for some reason and I cannot figure out why. I can manually edit the image and when i search, all the usual options are available, but doing it manually for a whole library obviously isn't ideal. Thanks!

Hi.  What image providers did you enable for the TV library?

What happens if you move tvdb to the top and refresh one of them?

So I did that and then did refresh metadata on one show and said to replace everything, but still no poster.

Log from that?

I would guess that the smaller images in some 3rd party dbase online are not cached locally in your server.  Perhaps there is a small limit for remote images that do not get cached.  When the image is not cached, it has to be accessed again, everytime a user opens the page.  Maybe the browser times out with multiple images to retrieve and so smaller images from dbase online just fail.

I've noticed if I force a larger image to be the poster from a dbase selection, that image always appears.  It's only a guess, but I think images past a certain size are cached and are pulled locally.  Maybe someone who knows this part of the code can tell us if this guess might be right.

The fix is to not use the smaller images when you have a choice.  If the images for episodes are automatic, then you might be stuck having to add custom images one at a time to solve the issue.

Are you sure that is the log from the refresh operation?

I guess can you point me to where I would find that specific log?

Can you just refresh "rabbit hole" and then post the log right after that finishes?

I may have fixed this.  I was looking more in the preferences and i unchecked all NFO toggles in the library settings as I don't have any in my files to reference, but I'll have to see if a full metadata refresh works. Refreshing Rabbithole and Silo worked.

Here is the most up to date log.

I tried manually doing a few other things and it didn't work. I do have a full scan currently going though. Here's another updated log.

Yeah I asked for that one because I knew it should be found on tvdb.  Is it possible the others are just obscure and don't have posters on tvdb?

Well it identifies the show's metadata and pulls other art and episode titles and such, just not the primary poster for it.

Did that not pull the posters?

So Rabbithole and Silo pulled the posters upon a manual refresh, but another properly identified show (I can't remember which) didn't work. BUT my system wide library scan is almost complete and it looks like stuff is pulling now, so I think it was honestly just turning off NFO as an option to pull data from that did it. Thank you for your help along the way!
