SIR_JO 1 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Could someone kindly explain where I can delete the server cache from please? I've got several stubborn shows which don't have the coverart or metadata, so I'd like to delete all the metadata and images from the media folders, clear the server cache and let it do a full scan again. I've recently renamed all my TV to use the MB conventions, so I am guessing some of it's historical, but would like to start again without a reinstall.
tompa 0 Posted October 26, 2014 Posted October 26, 2014 Hi! You will see the links under Server Dashboard "System Paths" /tompa

SIR_JO 1 Posted October 27, 2014 Author Posted October 27, 2014 Thanks for the replies, when you say "metadata manager" where do you mean please?

jimleipold2 2 Posted October 6, 2016 Posted October 6, 2016 Hi ! I have also a cache problem. I had imported a folder with thousands of songs. Finally I took it out of Emby Library. But now when I use the search function it still gives me items from the erased folder ! It can't play it but it still have the names. I went into the system paths and didn't find anything left from it. So I wonder how I could empty totally the cache and start again...

This sounds like the entries weren't properly removed from the library.db, you may have to delete it and allow it to rebuild. (C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\data) If you really want to delete your cache it is locate in the same area, (C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\cache) unless you modified to a custom location. jimleipold2 2 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 The clean database task doesn't change this specific problem... I'll try to delete the library.db
Happy2Play 9780 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 How clean database task? Go to Dashboard-Scheduled Tasks
Luke 42078 Posted October 7, 2016 Posted October 7, 2016 Better yet, just don't worry about it. The server will handle running it on it's own.
jimleipold2 2 Posted October 8, 2016 Posted October 8, 2016 deleting the library.db resolved my issue... thanks ! 1
