unlock app for nvidia shield

I have 2 nvdia shields running in the house. Do I have to unlock each app to view my friends server or just unlock one app to be able view on both shields?

the app unlock is attached to the app store account, so if you use the same Google account on both Shields -- then you only need to unlock once.
