so_kornfuzed 0 Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 (edited) When I Play a file with VLC it is louder than when I play through Emby. Even when the sound bar is turned up it still just isn't as loud as just playing the file through VLC is there something I'm missing? Edited June 2, 2023 by so_kornfuzed miss spelled
Abobader 3470 Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 Hello so_kornfuzed, ** This is an auto reply ** Please wait for someone from staff support or our members to reply to you. It's recommended to provide more info, as it explain in this thread: Thank you. Emby Team
darkassassin07 652 Posted June 2, 2023 Posted June 2, 2023 Is it 5.1 channel audio, or 2 channel? Perhaps you're losing volume during the downmix from 5.1 to 2? Try increasing the 'Audio boost when downmixing' setting within the transcoding settings. I've got mine set to 3.
Gilgamesh_48 1240 Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 My suggestion is to adjust the volume in VLC so it matches Emby. Problem solved. 1

Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
