Vaginildo 1 Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 I'm using the LinuxServer.io Emby image on Ubuntu and recently (maybe 3 months ago) I'm having errors like "Error HttpClient: Connection to https://www.mb3admin.com/admin/service/EmbyPackages.json timed out ". The first thing that came to my mind was to disable the Firewall to test, so I ran the "ufw disable" command, but without success. The current Firewall rule is "[19] 8096 ALLOW IN 192.168.100.0/24". Emby works, but I am not able to get media info or update automatically. embyserver.txt
Luke 42078 Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 HI, are you sure this is the complete log? It appears to be cut off. Thanks.
Vaginildo 1 Posted June 1, 2023 Author Posted June 1, 2023 @LukeHi, I found the problem: it was the daemon.js file in /etc/docker. I had to change the line '"iptables": false' to 'true'. Actually this was the same problem as another container, but I decided to delete that one. The problem now is that Docker is not obeying the Firewall rules. Do you understand Docker or should I look somewhere more specific?
Vaginildo 1 Posted June 3, 2023 Author Posted June 3, 2023 I found a temporary solution: I kept the daemon.js file setting to "false" and with the Firewall rule as "8096 ALLOW IN Anywhere". However, if you know how to keep access to Emby (in fact all containers) only for the local network and specified IPs it would be of great help. 1
