Issue with WOL (wake on lan) on emby server and emby connect email

Hi,

Problem 1:

I'm running into trouble with having WOL (wake on lan) to work on my server. Whenever I am on local network, the WOL is working fine. When I am off the local network, my server will not wake up from sleep with the wake server function. I have done all the configures for my laptop, power setting, router setting, port forwarding, etc. I can access from WAN into my server whenever it is awake. Whenever the server go to sleep, the app wont be able to wake the server up from sleep. anyone running into this problem before? thanks.

 

Problem 2: 

It is pretty straight forward, after the recent update, my emby connect email will unlink from my user account. After setting it back, it is remove again from the server account or the email just disappeared from the link user. Not sure if I did anything wrong to cause this problem?

Emby supports Wake on LAN inside the local network. For remote, you need to configure your router/another machine on your network or use some dedicated software app.

Did you reset your Connect password lately? If you didn't, try resetting it.

I have configured wake on lan on my router. It is working before the update. After the recent update it no longer seem to work. only able to wake via local. 

I will reset the password and try if the problem persist. Thank you!
